It is time, I promised you a butterfly from Errol's collection and here it is, it's a sweet little butterfly from South America, named Epiphile Orea Negrina. I have put it on an A3 size sheet of Moulin du roy to allow room for a plant to accompany the butterfly.
This is a very intense and detailed project but you can still practice the stages and create a butterfly study page to add to your practice folder. Maybe use the techniques to paint one of our native butterflies, there are lots of references you could use as inspiration for your study page, you could even get out and about with a camera and catch a shot of a native butterfly where you live. I would love to see them on the members gallery. Paint to perfection, Billy x
