Dear fellow botanical painting adventurers, I am often asked how one captures a rose and how one captures light, well in this one study we do both! This is one of my favourite roses from my garden, the light floods through them in the late afternoon and displays all the colours within; I am putting this study into a large design and over the next few months we will add to it and you can see it grow.

Why don't you join me on this journey and add your favourite roses.
